Gas Leak Detection
Gas Leak Detection
Why Gas Leak Detection?
Gas is one of the most dependable forms of energy supplied to our homes and businesses via a large network of pipelines. Pipelines have a typical life span of around 25 years, so when they begin to fail over time they do so slowly with leaks appearing initially at weakened joints. These small leaks will then gradually progress to much larger leaks which could potentially end catastrophically. This can be expensive not only in lost revenue but possibly in people’s lives too.
The widespread use of the Telegan Gas-Tec, Gaseeker and Autofim gas detectors when combined with effective pipeline management and analysis has highlighted areas of concern and targeted corrective maintenance preventing loss of revenue and lives.
High Speed or Manual Surveying
Many thousands of kilometres of pipeline will take large amounts of time to survey for gas leaks, requiring a large labour force and fleet of instruments. The Gas-Tec and Trigger combination allows surveying at up to 30 km/h, when attached to a suitable vehicle, and allows for fast, accurate and reliable mobile monitoring, saving time and resources in all areas.
